The Vietnamese Student Association’s Culture Night is a show, in the form of a theater play, which presents elements of Vietnamese culture. Incorporated in the play are other entertainment acts we feel best represent our culture. Culture Night has been tremendously valuable in achieving our goals by preserving yesterday’s traditions and incorporating a modern perspective of the evolving Vietnamese American culture with a unique one directed story-line and performances such as a fashion show, traditional and modern dances, skits, martial arts, vocal performances, and lion dance.

Director's message: Hello everyone, my name is Robin Nguyen and I am the 37th and 38th Annual Culture Night Director. This year's culture night embodies what it means to be a family, an aspect of everyone's lives that we all forget to value. Family plays an important role to college students, for they have expanded passed blood relations and into the bonds we form with our friends. The emphasis on family in this year's culture night is to remind everyone of that bond, that their support systems have branched out to what we have tonight, a family supporting one another on stage. So I hope you enjoy UCI's family as we dance, act, sing, and perform for you on stage. All the hard work that they've put into the show, all the tears, sweat, and blood will only be glistened with smiles. Thank you for spending your evenings with us and I hope to see you all again in our future events! smile emoticon
